Re-engaging learners. Rebuilding confidence. Renewing futures.

We help young people reconnect with education — on their own terms.

About us

A Fresh Start. A Different Way Forward.

At Renew Education, we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to reset, rebuild, and re-engage with learning — in a way that works for them.

We provide personalised alternative provision for young people aged 11–16 who are at risk of exclusion, are struggling in mainstream education, or need a tailored pathway that meets their emotional, social, and academic needs. Based in Bridgwater and deeply connected to our local community, we operate from a central base at Kings Square and partner with trusted local venues to offer a rich, varied curriculum.

Our Values

1. Every Young Person Deserves a Fresh Start
We believe potential isn’t fixed — and that trust, time, and the right environment can change everything.

2. Relationships First
We build safety and structure through meaningful relationships. Connection is the foundation of all progress.

3. Progress Looks Different for Everyone
Whether it's passing an exam, speaking up in a group, or simply showing up — we celebrate each step forward.

4. Real-World Learning Matters
We give young people practical, relevant experiences that prepare them for life — not just the classroom.

5. Community is the Classroom
We partner with local venues, businesses, and professionals to help pupils re-engage through real opportunities.

6. Inclusion Is Non-Negotiable
We meet every learner where they are. Our model is flexible, accessible, and built on unconditional respect.

What Makes Us Different

  • Multi-site learning: From fishing and animal care to digital maths and hairdressing, our pupils access real experiences in real-world settings.

  • Therapeutic and trauma-informed: We prioritise emotional safety, regulation, and mentoring — supporting behaviour through relationships, not punishment.

  • Personalised pathways: Each learner has their own weekly timetable, built around their interests, needs, and long-term goals.

  • Community-first approach: We collaborate with colleges, charities, small businesses, and vocational specialists to create meaningful learning opportunities.

Who We Work With

We support schools, local authorities, and families looking for high-quality provision for:

  • Pupils at risk of permanent exclusion

  • Young people with SEMH needs

  • Those unable to thrive in a traditional classroom

  • Pupils awaiting specialist placement or reintegration
